# Understanding Bots

See how much of your traffic comes from bots, such as crawlers, scrapers, and uptime checkers, compared with real people.

Not every visit comes from a person. Search engine crawlers, SEO tools, scrapers, and monitoring services also load your pages. Humblytics identifies known bots and keeps them out of your analytics, so your visitor counts, conversion rates, and test results reflect real people.

The **Bots** tab shows you what was filtered out.

Go to **Observe → Analytics → More → Bots**.

## What you'll see

| Card | What it shows |
| ----------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Page Views** | Page views from bots compared with page views from humans. |
| **Unique Visitors** | Bot visitors compared with human visitors. |
| **Traffic Composition** | A bar showing the bot vs. human share, with the percentage of human traffic. |

## What to do with it

* **Explain a gap with another tool.** Tools that don't filter bots report higher traffic than Humblytics. The Bots tab shows roughly how big that gap should be.
* **Spot a spike.** A sudden jump in bot views often means a new crawler or scraper found your site. Your human metrics stay clean either way.
* **Exclude your own team too.** Bots are filtered automatically. To leave out your own visits, add your IP addresses in your site settings.
